在學習英語途中，時常會發現有一些字在不經過思索之下，一眼就可以辨識出來，例如：for、to、he、it 等，我們通稱這些字為常見字 (Sight Words)。這些常見字有不少都是意義抽象的介係詞或代名詞，只能靠概念去理解，難以用文字解釋，使孩子不容易掌握其意思及用法。然而，sight words於孩子的初期閱讀刊物中，出現頻率卻是意外地高，竟佔了文章的60%~85%。若然孩子並未能好好掌握sight words的概念，在進行英文閱讀時只會事倍功半，甚至因經常遇到不明白的生字而對閱讀產生抗拒，難免會阻礙孩子們在英語學習上的進程。 |

When I placed order from amazon.com, they warned me that these DVDs are encoded so that these DVDs might not be read in Hong Kong DVD player. Do you know if your DVDs can be read in Hong Kong DVD player?

At first time I haven't bought the sight words cards because I think it is too difficult to explain the meaning of these words to my son. But I bought it when there is a price deduction. I taught Jeremy a few times, but he know the words in a very fast pace.Later, I know why he can learn so fast. It's because the words always repeat in different media such as DVD, story books, etc.
