HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) -
Preschool children were treated to a winter wonderland in downtown Honolulu Friday morning. Ten to 15 tons of finely chopped ice, or "snow", fell on the grounds of C Preschool.
The snow was piled on the lawn for about 175 children, ages two through six, to enjoy. The preschoolers dressed for winter weather, complete with mittens and scarves. They built snowmen, made snow angels and threw snowballs at their teachers and parents.
The ice was donated by Blane Yamagata, of Unitek Solvent.
This snow day is an annual event organized by the C Preschool's Parent Teacher Organization in conjunction with the church and school.
