Today mommy and Lauren's mom were off to Chinatown to buy some
fresh

fish. We came back with two beautiful flounders (Young flounders have

eyes on both sides and as they get older, the eyes are on the top of
their

head), and a very pretty local fish (with eyes on the sides of his
head).

After smelling it and exploration, (lots of pinched noses)  mommy stuff  and top the fish with ginger and onions. We steam it. Hot oil was poured on the top and special soy sauce for seafood
were added. Afterwards, those that wanted could have a taste. Some wanted seconds and there were those like Lexie and Sherbie that could have
eaten the whole fish by themselves! It was very, very good.

Sherbie shared her parts of a fish puzzle as flash cards were shown of the different parts
of the fish (dorsal, caudal, pelvic, pectoral, and anal fins, gills,
body).

Thelocal fish was not good for eating, but makes a good soup stock. Our baby Skye will have fish broth and rice for dinner tomorrow. So poured to be a great Chinese chefs and the wonderful ginger onion steamed flounder
dish that I ever made!
